Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Earth Tree Expansion Suggest

Elden Ring, the latest game from software giant FromSoftware, has been a huge success. Fans are now eagerly awaiting the first expansion for Elden Ring, Shadow of the Earth Tree. While not much is known about the expansion, here are 10 things we'd like to see in Shadow of the Earth Tree.

1. Shorter Boss Combos – The boss battles in Elden Ring were great, but some of the combos were overly long. We'd like to see the combos shortened so that they aren't so tedious and frustrating.

2. More Double Boss Fights – Double boss fights are a staple of the Souls series, and Elden Ring had its share. However, some were overly difficult and tedious. It would be nice to see more double boss fights, but with a focus on fun, rather than frustration.

3. Mimic Chests – The base game of Elden Ring was notorious for not having any mimic chests. It would be nice to see mimic chests return in Shadow of the Earth Tree, though they'll likely have something equally or more annoying to entrap players.

4. Cryptic NPC Quest Lines – Many of the NPC questlines in Elden Ring were incredibly cryptic. It would be great if the expansion made it easier to figure out how to start and complete these quests.

5. Fewer Scarlet Raw Areas – The Scarlet Raw areas in Elden Ring were incredibly frustrating, as your health ticked away at an almost unfair rate. We'd like to see Shadow of the Earth Tree have fewer of these areas, or at least make them more manageable.

6. More Katanas – Surprisingly, katanas weren't the weapon type with the most options in the base game. We'd like to see more katanas, as well as more options for claws, whips, fists, staves, and magic users.

7. More Platforming Challenges – Platforming was a big part of Elden Ring, so it would be great to see more platforming-focused areas in Shadow of the Earth Tree.

8. More Recycled Bosses – Most video games tend to recycle bosses, and Elden Ring was no exception. It would be great to see Shadow of the Earth Tree focus more on quality over quantity, and if any bosses are recycled, it would be nice to see it done in an interesting way.

9. Smaller End Game Areas – The feeling of exploration and wonder diminished near the end of Elden Ring, as the final areas were relatively small. We'd like to see Shadow of the Earth Tree maintain that sense of exploration and mystery.

10. Boring Side Dungeons – The side dungeons in Elden Ring were mostly forgettable and had simple layouts. We'd like to see Shadow of the Earth Tree give these areas some life, so that exploring them is more rewarding.

With Shadow of the Earth Tree on the horizon, fans of Elden Ring are sure to have a great time. Here's hoping that FromSoftware takes these suggestions into account and gives us an expansion that lives up to our expectations.
